Kia ora, hello peoples,
Today in literacy we have each made a Sestina Poem which we will at some stage then send to Fairfield Intermediate up in Hamilton int eh North Island.
A Sestina Poem is a poem mad up of 36 words 6 words to a line and 6 lines all together.
Here is the criteria of what to put on each line:
1st line: Something you saw
2nd line: Something you remember
3rd line: A person that was with you
4th: Imagined that didn't happen
5th: Reason for the journey
6th line: Own six word sentence
Here is my poem:
Deep into the thick dark woods
Ghosts howled, abandoned humans shrieked loudly
Spooky skeletons right directly behind me
I imagined being out of woods
I don’t know why I entered
I really do regret it now
I hope you like it! Please post on a comment any feedback you have for me.
Yours sincerly
Sophie

ReplyDeleteHi Sophie its Sophia, I really love the way you made the sestina poem sound a bit scary, it really takes me back to when I watched scary movies. Maybe next time you could check so you can re-read your writing and check if there are any mistakes or make sure if everything makes sense. Overall, I really like your poem, and with that skill, you should totally make more, see you later.
ReplyDeleteHi Sophie this is a great poem! I like how much you explained what this poem was about. It's awesome how much detail you put into your writing! I find it really hard to writing spooky writing but your really good at it! Maybe next time you could make all the font the same size?
ReplyDeleteGood job! Regards, Sophia T
