Friday 27 March, Speedy Speed Skills, Delightful David Audio, Beautiful Board Game, Cool Kahoot!!!!!
Kia ora, hello peoples,
I have done four activities today; speed skills on Maths Buddy, listened to another David Walliams audio, played a board game and also played a number of Kahoot quizs.
The speed skills have a number of levels and many different types of maths, I did some division with remainders. I usually find this quite easy but as this was timed it was a bit more difficult than I imagined.
David Walliams' audio today was quite alarming as a girl kept writing mean stuff about other people on the walls. But every time she wrote something she started turning into a troll. The description David Walliams gave of her was quite disgusting. Part of her description was; she had long black toe nails, massive ears growing heaps of hair out of them and a big wart on the end of her nose. Quite disgusting right?
I also played a board game with my little sister, we played Chinese Checkers. It was a lot of fun! It can be played with up to six players but my sister and I just played together as my parents were working. She got a little frustrated as I won both times but she said to me she still enjoyed it.
My sister also played a few Kahoots with me! I have the Kahoot app on my ipad so we searched some up to host on there and then I joined using my chromebook and my sister joined using the other ipad we have at home. It was also a lot of fun! My sister said she only liked the Frozen themed one because thats the one she won!
Overall I enjoyed today! Here are a few questions for you:
What is your favourite board game?
What type of maths do you like best?
Are there types of quizs you like best?
Do you like to read David Walliams?
Yours sincerly

Thursday 26th March, Amazing Audio, Anzac Art, Symmetrical Sophie
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Another day full of activities! The three activities I did today were; listening to David Walliams audio, made a symmetrical art work of my name and made an ANZAC art piece.
The David Walliams audio was a bit disgusting today too as a girl had a very, very dirty and messy bedroom. The floor was covered up to waist hight in rubbish and moldy old clothes that never had been washed. Eventually a monster was made out of all the rubbish and ate all of it and the girl.
I also made a symmetrical art work with my name. I followed the instructions on the activity sheet and added colour.
This was my result:
I hope you like it!
The last activity I did was to make a ANZAC art work. I sewed a poppy using three different colours of felt; red, green and black. I searched up some ideas on Youtube; origami, sewing or drawing. I decided to carry out the sewing idea.
This is it:
I hope you like my post! Comment below!

Wednesday 25th March, Wonderful Walk, Math Playground, Awesome Audio
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Another day in lock down, yet more fun things to do! I have done three activities today; a walk around the block, maths on Math Playground, another David Walliams Audio and more of P.E with Joe.
The walk around the block was lovely. My sister and I scootered and my Mum walked with her phone strapped to her arm so we could map the how far we went. We walked 3km which took us 33:33. It was a slow walk as we stopped to talk to our cousin and Auntie and Uncle.
Here is the map of our walk:
I also played quite a few games on Math Playground which was great fun. I even introduced my sister into it and she really liked it. She liked it so much that she forgot to do her own maths!
Here is the link for it if you are interested in Math Playground:

The David Walliams recording was much better today as it was about someone being naughty and spoilt not gross and disgusting. In the end the character sunk in his own birthday cake which was as big as swimming pool. He was so spoilt, he kept asking for a birthday party everyday and a bigger cake and more presents each day. It was a bit funny too!
I hope you like my post!!

Tuesday 24th of March, Creative Canva Cover, Okay Audio, Physical P.E, Joyful Jigsaw
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Today I have had my first look at the activity sheet of things to do in lock down. One of the activities I decided to do was make a book cover. I used Canva to make this.
I did my book cover on a short story I wrote in literacy called, The Wrong Move. The story is fictional, unreal and one of a kind. The book cover will show you the front and back cover with the blurb about the story.
Here are the covers:
The two other activities I did were; do some jigsaw puzzles on Jigsaw Planet, and I listened to a recording of David Walliams reading one of his stories.
The jigsaw puzzles had either many or little pieces depending on what puzzle you did and even then you can change the amount of pieces on the puzzles. I did puzzles that formed formed to be; dogs in the rain, the eifel tower, paint pots and more. It was quite entertaining and relaxing.
David Walliams read The Terrible Triplets from The World's Worst Children 3 on Soud Cloud. Honestly I hated it, it was so gross! Three boys who were triplets ate the most disgusting things. One ate his own earwax, another ate his own snot, and the third one ate some fluff that came out of his belly button. I know, so revoulting right?
I also have been trying out P.E with Joe, which is a channel on Youtube he has started up and will be continuing until lockdown is over. He does a 5 minute warm up and a 20 minute work out, 30 seconds per exercise and then a 30 second rest. He does this 9am-9:30am Monday-Friday. It is great fun!!, maybe you would like to try it!
I hope you like my covers!!!
And perhaps you would like to give Jigsaw Planet a go?
Here is the link for it:
Now if you want to listen to David Walliams reading his books on Sound Cloud if I were you I wouldn't listen to The Terrible Triplets, maybe try something else!?
Comment below if you wish!
Yours sincerely

Sport Stats 2
Kia ora, hello peoples,
This post is now my completed Netball Sport Stats. I have done this on Google Sheets using one sheet per stat. Each stat includes the top ten players of that stat and the number of how many goals or assists or whatever that stat is about.
I have gathered the imformation of eight stats off Netball World Cup Liverpool 2019; goals, goal assists, rebounds, intercepts, pickups, turn overs, centre pass receives and penalties. The players that are highlighted repeat in more than one stat which means they are capable of playing in very high levels of Netball.
Here is the link to my sheet with the questions and the stats:

Thank you for reading and goodbye

Pixel Art Binary
Kia ora, hello peoples,
We have been doing a bit of binary work on some Wednesdays. This work I will be talking to you about is our Pixel Art. We had to create a 10 across, 14 down square grid and create a picture by colouring some of the squares in.
Since computers can do 2 things turn On and Off. These relate to the colours on the grid black and white. White equals 0 and black equals 1. We had to create our code for our picture by using these two numbers.
This code I did represents each row. Here is mine:
0000000000
0010001000
0001010000
0000100000
0011111000
1111111110
1111111110
1111111110
1111111110
0011111000
0000100000
0000000000
0000000000
0000000000
Looks confusing right? I struggled to get it at first but now I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Until next time!

Spectacular Sestina Poem
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Today in literacy we have each made a Sestina Poem which we will at some stage then send to Fairfield Intermediate up in Hamilton int eh North Island.
A Sestina Poem is a poem mad up of 36 words 6 words to a line and 6 lines all together.
Here is the criteria of what to put on each line:
1st line: Something you saw
2nd line: Something you remember
3rd line: A person that was with you
4th: Imagined that didn't happen
5th: Reason for the journey
6th line: Own six word sentence
Here is my poem:
Deep into the thick dark woods
Ghosts howled, abandoned humans shrieked loudly
Spooky skeletons right directly behind me
I imagined being out of woods
I don’t know why I entered
I really do regret it now
I hope you like it! Please post on a comment any feedback you have for me.
Yours sincerly
Sophie
