Playful Poster

Kia ora, hello bloggers,

Here is yet another one of my inquiry posts. We still have the focus about our community and how to get involved with lotys of people.

We got given a list of charities and we had to research in groups about these charities and what they do. Then we got given situations and we had to write down the charities that could help them. Then we had to pick a charity and make a poster of it.

Here is mine:

I did mine on the Christchurch City Libraries. Hope you like it.

Good bye!

Conversation Creation

Kia ora, hello peoples,

So far this term our inquiry has been based on talking to others and starting conversations with people, maybe people we haven't talked to before and finding simalarities between you and other people.

One activity we did was we went down to the hall and we all sat in the middle. One person stood up and said something they like or like to do then everyone who does that too to link arms and then the person at the end of the line calls out something they like and so on. Another time we did it we put our hands up if we did that thing and the teacher chose one person at a time so that everyone could get to choose something they like.

We also have done an animation in groups of 2-3. We had a list of 10 things about a good way to have a conversation and we had to make an animation including all 10 ways to have a better conversation.

Here is Riley's, Olivia's and my animation, I hope you like it see you next time!

Yours sincerely

Sophie

Sport Stats

Kia ora, hello peoples,

This term in Numeracy, we are doing a statistical investigation on sports. I have chosen to research Netball with a focus on Goal Shooting and Passing.

So far I have found:

The top 5 goal scorers and what team, how many goals and the percentage

The questions I want to ask are:

Who are the top 5 goal scorers?
Which team has scored the most points?
Whis team is the best point scorer England or NZ?
Which sport scores the most goals Basketball or Netball?

I can't wait to show you the other results I find out!

Haere ra, see you again

Your sincerly

Sophie

My Mishievious Made-up Character

Kia ora, hello peoples,

Today I would like to show you my made-up character. We had to dig deep and make up a character and write down all its things it like to do. It could be as crazy or fake as we liked as long as we had given it a description and copied it into a slide. Mr Shaw had set up a slide presentation where we make our own slide and eveyrone has a character description.

We have now writen an I.P.A.R.C for a short mystery story that has to include our character that we created. I.P.A.R.C stands for:

I=intro
P=problem
A=action
R=resoloution
C=conclusion/cliffhanger

This is my character:

  Name: Leaf Maple
Age: 3
Loves: The sky because he loves flying
Favourite Food: Orange because he thinks it looks like the sun
Best Friend: Branch Wood the Branch
Thing: Giant Leaf
Personality: Funny, Stupid, Cheeky and Naughty

Leaf Maple is a 3 year old naughty giant leaf. The sky's the entertainment to him, he loves having a cold shower in the rain, in the sky. After that he goes up above the clouds and enjoys the sun eating his sun food, oranges. He thinks oranges look like the sun so he only eats them when in sight of the sun. He is funny, stupid and cheeky especially with his best friend Branch. In the past they have robbed other leaves and branches, played on others equipment and caused big disasters in the supermarket.

Your sincerly
