Terrific Tinkercad
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Another post in lockdown! Today my maths teacher gave us a tough task of designing a house on Tinkercad. Tinkercad is a website where you can design 3d models and have a lot of fun.
With our house we had to make sure we had to have a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and at least two bedrooms. We then had to work out the area and volume of the house.
Here is my house, my total volume was 705,750mm cubed!:
Perhaps you might like to give Tinkercad a go?!
Yours sincerely

Wicked Witch Art
Kia ora, hello peoples,
A task that Mr Shaw set us for literacy was to design our own witch. We could do this online or on paper and then we had to put a photo and a description of it on a slide.
I did mine on paper, its name is Wickster.
Here it is:
Bye for now!

Mathical Maths
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Today in lockdown maths we had to work out the area of our isolation bubble and pick and measure an object/thing and then work out how many of that object would fit in our bubble.
I have worked out the area of my bubble (isolation bubble) and picked a die as my object.
After I had worked out the calculations I realised that my bubble was 12.56m squared and I could fit 55,822.22 dice in the bubble!
I hope you understand what I was trying to tell you!
Yours sincerely Sophie. :o)

Lockdown School Day 2
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Today my work has taken quite a while but now it is completed. This blog post will show you my math and literacy work. Hope you enjoy!
For maths today I have found some objects/things around the house/backyard, one of them isn't from the house but just from in the world. We had to find them for capacity, weight and length, and then place them in the correct boxes. Here they are:
For literacy we had to think of some books/movies that had some simalarities to The Wizard of Oz and why they were similar. Then we had to put them on a slide. Here is my slide:
Thanks for looking!
Yours sincerely

First school lockdown day!
Kia ora, hello peoples,
A very busy day today. I thought I was going to have a bit of spare time after lunch but I was wrong, I've just finished it!
Maths took up most of the day. I found it quite fun! We had to find multiple objects around the house and then order them from least complex to most complex. We also had to count the vertices, edges and faces on each object.
Here is mine:

I have also done some literacy work. I had to make a timetable for this week. I am still going to make changes as the week goes on.
Here it is:

Another literacy task was to write what OZ in The Wonderful Wizard of OZ was like.
Here is my description:
Good bye for now!

Friday 27 March, Speedy Speed Skills, Delightful David Audio, Beautiful Board Game, Cool Kahoot!!!!!
Kia ora, hello peoples,
I have done four activities today; speed skills on Maths Buddy, listened to another David Walliams audio, played a board game and also played a number of Kahoot quizs.
The speed skills have a number of levels and many different types of maths, I did some division with remainders. I usually find this quite easy but as this was timed it was a bit more difficult than I imagined.
David Walliams' audio today was quite alarming as a girl kept writing mean stuff about other people on the walls. But every time she wrote something she started turning into a troll. The description David Walliams gave of her was quite disgusting. Part of her description was; she had long black toe nails, massive ears growing heaps of hair out of them and a big wart on the end of her nose. Quite disgusting right?
I also played a board game with my little sister, we played Chinese Checkers. It was a lot of fun! It can be played with up to six players but my sister and I just played together as my parents were working. She got a little frustrated as I won both times but she said to me she still enjoyed it.
My sister also played a few Kahoots with me! I have the Kahoot app on my ipad so we searched some up to host on there and then I joined using my chromebook and my sister joined using the other ipad we have at home. It was also a lot of fun! My sister said she only liked the Frozen themed one because thats the one she won!
Overall I enjoyed today! Here are a few questions for you:
What is your favourite board game?
What type of maths do you like best?
Are there types of quizs you like best?
Do you like to read David Walliams?
Yours sincerly

Thursday 26th March, Amazing Audio, Anzac Art, Symmetrical Sophie
Kia ora, hello peoples,
Another day full of activities! The three activities I did today were; listening to David Walliams audio, made a symmetrical art work of my name and made an ANZAC art piece.
The David Walliams audio was a bit disgusting today too as a girl had a very, very dirty and messy bedroom. The floor was covered up to waist hight in rubbish and moldy old clothes that never had been washed. Eventually a monster was made out of all the rubbish and ate all of it and the girl.
I also made a symmetrical art work with my name. I followed the instructions on the activity sheet and added colour.
This was my result:
I hope you like it!
The last activity I did was to make a ANZAC art work. I sewed a poppy using three different colours of felt; red, green and black. I searched up some ideas on Youtube; origami, sewing or drawing. I decided to carry out the sewing idea.
This is it:
I hope you like my post! Comment below!
Yours sincerly
Sophie
